U16-21 SARA Championships Points Calculation
In order to qualify for U16-21 Championships, racers must start two races outside of Championships. The State Team will be determined based on combined World Cup points earned for each racer’s best three race finishes. There will be a total of six races that can be used for State Team selection, four at Qualifiers and two at Championships. Racers must have one race start at Championships and must use at least one of the Championships races for State Team selection.
Ties will be broken by single best race result (if there is a tie in points but a difference in race finishes used for points, that finish will be used as the tiebreaker. If there is a tie in points with the same finish places, then the racers’ next best finishes will be compared until one racer has a better finish then the other).
U10-14 SARA Championships Points Calculation
U10-14 racers will not earn World Cup points at regular-season races. At Championships, racers will earn World Cup points for each of their runs each day (two slalom runs on Saturday and two giant slalom runs on Sunday) and the points from each racer’s best three runs will be combined to determine the SARA Champions.
Ties will be broken based on each racer’s finish in the fourth run at Championships, or next best finish.
