SARA is a youth ski racing league affiliated with US Ski & Snowboard. Our host mountains are located throughout VA, WV, and NC (members are welcome from any state). From here you can:

WINTERGREEN RACE CANCELLED (news as of 2/14/23)

Unfortunately, the SARA Slalom race which had been scheduled for Monday February 20 at Wintergreen (Monday of Presidents' Weekend) has been CANCELLED due to lack of snow cover on their race trail.

Eastern Finals are a more relaxed post-season opportunity for which SARA has a good number of slots. Similar in level to Piche, but with the opportunity to work on lowering points. Can sign up for Tech only or Tech and Speed days.

Summer Camps

There are a host of summer camps available in places like Mt. Hood and Europe. 

The Southeastern Alpine Race Camp at Mt. Hood (flyer attached) is a camp in its eighth year of operation, run by a group of dedicated volunteers as well as Camp Director, Sara Beeken, and Head Coach, Thea Young. Our goal is to provide affordable, quality, elite ski race training to southeastern athletes.  SARC runs for 2 sessions each summer and campers have the option to sign up for either or both of the weeks.
